The Wholistic Birth Project was founded in response to the maternal and infant health crisis. Our mission is to transform birth and postpartum experiences by nurturing the wholistic health of families and birth professionals.
Birth trauma is an international epidemic with up to 45% of new mothers reporting that they experienced birth trauma. This is unfortunate given that many adverse birth outcomes could be prevented or dealt with in a less traumatizing way.
Ten essential resources contribute to positive birth and postpartum outcomes. These essentials are needed by all families, regardless of social factors such as nationality, race, education level, and income. They address physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.
We help families tap into these resources and gain access to the things they need for their births. When families have access to all ten elements, they report greater birth satisfaction and experiences.
We are redefining birth and postpartum experiences and nurturing a new generation of families with comprehensive impactful support.
Guided by 10 Wholistic Birth Resources, we help families get connected to resources, guidance and social support. Our wholistic approach supports a smooth and stable transition into pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
